How do I obtain a copy of my medical records?

You may view and print your medical records from your patient portal account at no charge, anytime. To create your patient portal account go to: https://patientportal.houstonmri.com/CreateAccount. If you choose to not create a patient portal account, you may contact the center where your imaging was performed and they can provide you with the cost of providing you your medical records.

How do I obtain a CD of my images?

Your images are viewable on your patient portal account at no charge, anytime. Should you still desire to have a copy of your images on a CD, please contact the center where your imaging. They can produce a copy of your images and report for a fee.

Can you send a CD of my images to my healthcare provider or a provider other than the one who ordered my exam?

Healthcare providers can view your images on their provider portal account at no charge, anytime. If your provider does not have a provider portal account, they can apply to create a provider portal account by going to: https://doctorportal.houstonmri.com/Home/AccountSetup. Should you still wish to have a CD of your images sent to your healthcare provider, please contact the center where your imaging was performed and they can provide you with the cost of providing you a CD of your images for you to take to your healthcare provider. If your healthcare provider already has a provider portal account, your images and report are automatically sent to your ordering healthcare provider from us upon completion of your imaging study.

How do I set up my patient portal account?

How do I dress for my imaging exam?

Depending on the type of imaging exam you are having, you may or may not have to wear a gown. Upon the scheduling of your exam please ask our staff.

I am having problems creating or accessing my patient portal account, what do I do?

Please go to: https://patientportal.houstonmri.com/Help#Contact and describe your problem and you will be contacted with resolution to your problem.

Can I choose where I want to go to have my imaging study performed?

Yes, even if your prescription has another imaging center listed, it is your health and your choice. Call our scheduling department at 713-425-8190 and they can assist you.

I have an order for imaging, how do I send it to you?

Please contact our scheduling department at 713-425-8190. They can instruct you on how to take a picture of your order with your cell phone and send it to us though your cell phone in a HIPAA compliant and secure fashion.

I am on my patient portal account and I do not see my report and/or my images?

Your report is viewable 5 days (not before) after the day your imaging study was completed and your images are viewable 3 days (not before) after your imaging study was completed. If, after these timeframes, your report and/or images are still not viewable, please go to: https://patientportal.houstonmri.com/Help#Contact describe your problem and you will be contacted with resolution to your problem.

Can I download my images to my computer?

No. Imaging files are very large. We provide you and your healthcare provider with a portal account, free of charge, that may be accessed at any time in order to view your report and images.

I have questions about my report and/or images. How do I speak with the radiologist?

The radiologic report is a communication between the radiologist and your ordering healthcare provider. The radiologic report and images should only be interpreted by qualified clinicians. Should you have any questions concerning your radiologic report or images, you should discuss them with your ordering healthcare provider. The radiologists do not speak to the patients because they do not have a doctor-patient relationship with the patient. The healthcare provider can speak to the radiologist on behalf of their patient.

How much will my imaging study cost?

Please contact our scheduling department at 713-425-8190. They can assist you by contacting your insurance company and determining the estimated cost of your exam. You as well, may contact your insurance company directly to determine what your imaging study will cost and/or to verify what you have been quoted as to your cost.

Do you have cash prices?

Yes, for those without insurance we provide affordable cash prices. Please contact our scheduling department at 713-425-8190 for assistance.

Are you in-network with my insurance company?

We are in-network with most major insurance companies as well as federal programs. Go to: https://www.houstonmri.com/insurance-plans-houston-mri.html for a listing of the most common insurance plans we are -in-network with. If you do not see your plan listed, we may still be in-network with them, please contact our scheduling department at 713-425-8190 and they can assist you.

What payment methods do you accept?

We accept personal checks, money orders, cash, VISA, Mastercard, Discover Card and American Express.

Do you offer payment plans?

We do not offer payment plans. We offer CareCredit. Go to: https://etail.mysynchrony.com/eapply/eapply.action to apply for CareCredit.

Who do I contact with billing or refund questions?

Please call our billing department at 281-840-6205.

How do I obtain a copy of my payment receipt?

Please contact the center where your imaging study was performed.

Is your pricing lower than going to a hospital?

Yes, Medicare categorizes us as an Independent Diagnostic Testing Facility. Our contracted reimbursement rates are significantly lower than hospital reimbursement rates.

Do you have hospital quality imaging?

Yes!
